The National Security Technology Accelerator (NSTXL) harvests innovative technology from the commercial and non-defense marketplace, ensuring the development of better defense capabilities. We offer a unique and simplified approach to rapidly develop, demonstrate, and assess prototypes that address a range of operational and installation needs, from individual Warfighter technology up to large-scale installation projects. NSTXL delivers technology to the Warfighter by serving as a one-stop shop to match government requirements with innovative private-sector and academic solutions.

Currently, our OTAs have more than 900 corporate, non-profit, educational, and financial institution members. For these members, NSTXL offers opportunities to bid on government contracts, education and training, and live/virtual forums covering a wide variety of topics.


Job Description 
The National Security Technology Accelerator is actively seeking a Content Marketing Manager that will be responsible for creating and managing NSTXL’s brand story and experience through compelling content and a conversion-based strategy. You will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategies to enhance the overall image and recognition of our primary and owned brands.

This role will be responsible for both creating thoughtful, original content while also supporting the Creative team in their content creation, ensuring that the brand remains cohesive, resonates with the target audience, and aligns with the company's objectives. This position requires a combination of hands-on content creation, creative thinking, strategic planning, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.


Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Execute Content Strategy: Design and implement a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with business goals and targets key audiences. This includes understanding market trends, audience needs, and competitor strategies.
  • Content Creation and Management: Oversee and the creation of and produce high-quality, engaging content across various channels, including websites, blogs, social media, email campaigns, and more. Ensure content consistency in style, tone, and voice.
  • Website Management, SEO, and Content Optimization: Optimize NSTXL and other owned websites for UX, SEO, and conversions, creating new website pages and campaigns to support conversion goals and drive organic traffic. Utilize SEO best practices to improve content visibility and search engine rankings.
  • Performance Analysis and Reporting: Monitor and analyze content performance using tools like Google Analytics and HubSpot. Provide regular reports to stakeholders, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
  • Team Collaboration: Manage and mentor the Creative team. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including program marketing, growth, events, and membership, to ensure cohesive and effective content marketing efforts. Provide guidance and support to external content creators and editors.
  • Innovate and Implement New Channels: Explore and implement new content distribution channels to expand reach and engagement. Manage content launch dates and project deadlines using tools like content calendars and project management software (Monday.com).

Job requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • US citizen
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in brand, content, or digital marketing.
  • 2+ years experience managing a team of 2 or more
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to both create content and build a comprehensive content strategy.
  • Excellent planning, organizational and problem-solving skills to successfully coordinate multiple programs and adapt to unexpected requests.
  • Team player with a passion for creating moving, story-driven content that converts.
  • Understanding of new media, traditional media, and emerging media with experience working across multiple mediums and channels.
  • Enthusiasm for our mission and vision
  • Knowledge of marketing automation, CRM and CMS, such as HubSpot or Sprout
  • Understanding of social media platforms, from a creative and operational perspective
  • Experience Adobe Design Suite and with Canva
  • Deep understanding of SEO and how to optimize digital content.
  • Project management experience and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Must have excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Travel:

Travel for this position is estimated at 20% domestic travel
