The National Security Technology Accelerator (NSTXL) harvests innovative technology from the commercial and non-defense marketplace, ensuring the development of better, cheaper, and faster defense capabilities. We offer a unique and simplified approach to rapidly develop, demonstrate, and assess prototypes that address a range of operational and installation needs, from individual Warfighter technology up to large-scale installation projects. NSTXL delivers technology to the Warfighter by serving as a one-stop shop to match government requirements with innovative private-sector and academic solutions.


Each of our OTAs is a distinct member-based not-for-profit with its own membership that is managed and serviced by NSTXL. Currently, our OTAs have more than 600 corporate, non-profit, educational, and financial institution members. For these members, NSTXL offers opportunities to bid on government contracts, education and training, and live/virtual forums on a wide variety of topics.


Job Description

NSTXL is ready for a marketing coordinator (events) to be a key player on our events team. Working directly with the Sr. Events Manager, the marketing coordinator (events) will help design and deliver impactful, valuable programs that exceed customers and member objectives. Our ideal candidate is a well-organized, highly effective communicator that has experience in creating event landing pages, emails, messaging, and reports.


Responsibilities

Marketing Event Design – 50%

  • Develop marketing content for the Events function (copywriting and design for landing pages, emails, paid and organic social, etc.) to promote both NSTXL-hosted and NSTXL-attended events
  • Develop pre- and post-event digital campaigns to key program targets
  • Build and execute campaigns via HubSpot and our event management software solution
  • Make ongoing adjustments to optimize campaigns and a/b test for improved performance
  • Create and manage event postings on NSTXL.org and our Community site

Reporting – 20%

  • Build and deliver campaign reports to internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist in creating campaign dashboards and reports in HubSpot and event software
  • Track projects in project management tool (Monday.com.)
  • Build and manage lists supporting event strategies

Event Logistics – 20%

  • Identify and track tradeshow deadlines; register staff; order show services; secure travel accommodations
  • Research and secure venue options for onsite events

Virtual Event Execution (10%)

  • Host and support virtual events.

Location

  • Remote within these hiring states: AL, DC, FL, IN, NC, OH, TX, VA
  • Travel for this position is estimated between 30-40 %

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communication, business, marketing or equivalent education/experience
  • 1-3 years of hands-on copywriting, marketing communications, reporting and event logistics experience (Anymore and this probably is not the role for you.)
  • Knowledge of marketing automation, CRM and CMS, and event management software
  • Understanding of social media platforms, from a creative and operational perspective
  • Experience with Canva or similar design programs
  • Excellent planning, organizational and problem-solving skills to successfully coordinate multiple programs and adapt to unexpected requests
  • Ability to work extremely well with others to ensure strong relationships with our internal and external team members
  • Technology skills and confidence necessary to learn unfamiliar programs quickly and efficiently is required
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented, willing to jump in and help when needed on projects
  • Ability to take constructive criticism and change direction when needed
  • Unafraid to ask questions
  • Certifications, or ability to become certified in, HubSpot and event management software solutions
