The National Security Technology Accelerator (NSTXL) harvests innovative technology from the commercial and non-defense marketplace, ensuring the development of better, cheaper, and faster defense capabilities. We offer a unique and simplified approach to rapidly develop, demonstrate, and assess prototypes that address a range of operational and installation needs, from individual Warfighter technology up to large-scale installation projects. NSTXL delivers technology to the Warfighter by serving as a one-stop shop to match government requirements with innovative private-sector and academic solutions.


Each of our OTAs is a distinct member-based not-for-profit with its own membership that is managed and serviced by NSTXL. Currently, our OTAs have more than 600 corporate, non-profit, educational, and financial institution members. For these members, NSTXL offers opportunities to bid on government contracts, education and training, and live/virtual forums on a wide variety of topics.


Job Description

The Content Marketing Coordinator is responsible for digital content creation, management, and reporting. They own and manage the brand social media channels including scheduling, copy, design, engagement, and tracking. They are also responsible for supporting the organizations needs on graphic design and branding initiatives including flyer’s, PowerPoint slides, banners, etc. The Content Marketing Coordinator will also assist with creating the ultimate member experience from activation to long-term member success. This role will work with Senior Marketing Manager to develop and execute on a member strategy that drives engagement, member retention, and satisfaction


Responsibilities

Content Creation & Social Media:

  • Own and execute the monthly social media calendar, working with the creative team to build the editorial calendar and update as priorities and deadlines shift
  • Create the copy and graphics for all social media posts ensuring they are within the brand standards and voice
  • Create original content including but not limited to, blogs, PowerPoints, templates, whitepapers, and flyers
  • Assist with email marketing as needed for events and membership support including email banner creation, email content writing, UTM tracking and email performance reporting
  • Assist with company collateral on PowerPoints and templates to ensure all content is up to date, within the brand standards, and follows the template guidelines
  • Assist with website creation and copywriting including new web pages and existing page updates incorporating SEO strategy and best practices
  • Assist with brand development and processes including updating the brand standards guideline, updating old content to match new guidelines, and identifying and content created outside of the brand standards and fixing
  • Assist with digital media content creation including videos and ads from copywriting to design and publication

Membership Education, Engagement, and Satisfaction:

  • Update and maintain new member onboarding experience: 1:1, onboarding workflows
  • Develop and execute campaigns to support member adoption and growth of NSTXL
  • Community: innovators, engagement, and teaming efforts
  • Report on member success initiatives and improvement plan/roadmap
  • Collaborate with the creative team to identify and create necessary and relevant education assets based off member defense experience
  • Collaborate with the creative team to execute on Monthly Navigating NSTXL series, Quarterly Security Webinars, Coffee and Community, member onboarding sessions, open-office hours, etc.
  • Work with events team to develop tradeshow pre-, during- and post-event marketing
    strategies for current members

Location

  • Remote within these hiring states: AL, DC, FL, IN, NC, TX or VA
  • Travel for this position is estimated between 10%

Job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communication, business, marketing or equivalent education/experience
  • 1-3 years of hands-on social media, content creation, and/or marketing communications experience
  • Digital and print design experience across various mediums including social media, email marketing, print marketing, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work extremely well with others to ensure strong relationships with our internal and external team members
  • Technology skills and confidence necessary to learn unfamiliar programs quickly and efficiently is required
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented, willing to jump in and help when needed on projects
  • Ability to take constructive criticism and change direction when needed 
  • Unafraid to ask questions 
  • Certifications, or ability to become certified in, HubSpot and event management software solutions

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Knowledge of marketing automation, CRM and CMS, such as HubSpot or Sprout
  • Understanding of social media platforms, from a creative and operational perspective
  • Experience with Canva or similar design programs, Adobe Design experience a plus
  • Excellent planning, organizational and problem-solving skills to successfully coordinate multiple programs and adapt to unexpected requests
