The National Security Technology Accelerator (NSTXL) harvests innovative technology from the commercial and non-defense marketplace, ensuring the development of better, cheaper, and faster defense capabilities. We offer a unique and simplified approach to rapidly develop, demonstrate, and assess prototypes that address a range of operational and installation needs, from individual Warfighter technology up to large-scale installation projects. NSTXL delivers technology to the Warfighter by serving as a one-stop shop to match government requirements with innovative private-sector and academic solutions.


Each of our OTAs is a distinct member-based not-for-profit with its own membership that is managed and serviced by NSTXL. Currently, our OTAs have more than 600 corporate, non-profit, educational, and financial institution members. For these members, NSTXL offers opportunities to bid on government contracts, education and training, and live/virtual forums on a wide variety of topics.


Job Description

The program marketing specialist is responsible for delivering exceptional marketing services and program experience to our government clients. Our ideal candidate is a well-organized, highly effective communicator that can manage and prioritize multiple projects at various stages successfully. You are a go-getter who is ready to roll-up their sleeves to build, manage, and optimize effective market campaigns that meet program goals.


Responsibilities

  • Work with program team to build market plans and execute on defined initiatives
  • Manage program marketing project boards and work with marketing shared services to ensure all marketing deliverables outlined in government client contract are prioritized appropriately and met
  • Orchestrate and execute on project marketing campaign in its entirety – market research; campaign development and optimization; event management and promotion; and success tracking and reporting
  • Build, manage, and optimize marketing email communication for client projects
  • Educate government clients and internal team on marketing offerings and services
  • Manage, track, and deliver project success reports for program team, making recommendations and developing best practices to maximize the effectiveness of programs
  • Attend tradeshow and client events and assist with outreach efforts to generate program and project awareness

Job requirements

  • US citizen and ability to get security clearance
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of marketing or communications experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
  • Must have excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills to coordinate multiple activities and to adapt to unexpected requests
  • Dependable and deadline oriented, with exemplary attention to detail
  • Knowledge of various marketing technology tools and concepts e.g. marketing automation platforms (HubSpot), CMS (Wordpress), social tools (Sprout), design (Adobe Creative and Canva), and digital advertising (LinkedIn, Google, Rollworks)
  • Excellent communication - effectively communicates and works extremely well with others
  • Ability to translate client goals into multi-channel marketing campaigns that drive program objectives 
  • Strong technology skills and confidence necessary to learn unfamiliar programs quickly and efficiently, is required

Location:

  • Remote: Houston, TX and surrounding areas
  • Travel for this position is estimated at 15%
